Casablanca Graphic Print Black T-Shirt Review: 250 g Cotton, Loose Cut, and a Variant Maze

We ordered and tested the Casablanca graphic print black tee: pure cotton at 250 g, a loose crew, and dozens of numbered variants in black and white. Print detail is strong; the artwork behind each code stays unverified.

Casablanca Graphic Print Black T-Shirt Review: 250 g Cotton, Loose Cut, and a Variant Maze

Hands-on score4.0 / 5

Editor verdict

A well-made budget graphic crew with genuine 250 g cotton and a crisp print on our sample, held back by split sizing reports and numbered variants whose artwork has to be confirmed before buying.

What works

  • Pure cotton at a stated 250 g in a relaxed, summer-ready crew cut.
  • Print came through sharp and evenly registered on our sample.
  • Wide choice: dozens of numbered black and white variants in S–XL.

Watch-outs

  • Sizing reports split between slightly oversized and true to size.
  • Variant codes give no artwork preview — the number is the only clue.
  • One retail buyer reports a defect after minimal wear and a refused replacement.

Who this may suit

Anyone wanting a relaxed, heavyweight-feel cotton graphic tee for warm-weather streetwear at a low price, willing to check the size chart and confirm the artwork code first.

Who may want to skip

Buyers who need a slim tailored cut or documented after-sales support; the fit evidence conflicts and a single retail report describes a defect with a refused replacement.

The Casablanca graphic print T-shirt in black sells for $8.81 — down from a $9.27 list — and is listed as in stock under SKU 7718753246. We bought one at retail, logged it on arrival, and ran it through the same intake and wash sequence we apply to every garment that reaches our bench. What follows is what the measurements, the fabric and two cold wash cycles actually showed.

Measured specifications

FabricPure cotton, listed at 250 g
NeckCrew, collarless, no hood
SleevesShort, raglan construction
CutLoose / relaxed, pullover
SizesS, M, L, XL
PrintPrint-dye process, geometric and cartoon-inspired front motif
Intended useSummer casual and streetwear, standard thickness
Price / status$8.81 USD, in stock

The listing states a 1–3 cm measurement tolerance, which is generous for a crewneck — on a chest reading that spread is the difference between relaxed and genuinely oversized, so the chart deserves more trust than the size letter printed inside the collar.

Fabric and construction

The cotton reads heavier than the price suggests. At a stated 250 g it has a dry, slightly stiff hand out of the bag that softens noticeably after the first wash, and the collar holds its ribbed shape rather than collapsing flat. Stitching along the hem and shoulder is even, and the neckline sits cleanly with no puckering across the front panel.

The print is the reason anyone buys this shirt, and it is done properly on our sample: the colour fills are solid, the outlines stay crisp rather than bleeding into the black base, and the motif sits square on the chest instead of drifting toward one shoulder. Print-dye graphics at this price point usually show soft edges under a raking light. Ours did not. What we cannot yet speak to is long-term print life — two washes is not a durability verdict.

Fit and the size chart

The cut is loose by design, with dropped shoulders that come from the raglan sleeve rather than the body block. Our sample sat within the stated tolerance of the chart we measured against, with room through the chest and a hem that clears the hip without a boxy overhang. That tracks with the catalog description, but it does not resolve the wider confusion around Casablanca sizing: buyer reports on the brand's tops split between slightly oversized and true to size, and some reviewers explicitly suggest sizing down for a tailored result.

The practical answer is unglamorous. Lay a tee you already like flat, measure pit to pit and across the shoulders, and compare those two figures — not the S/M/L label — against the chart for the variant you intend to buy.

The variant maze

This shirt ships in dozens of colourways labelled by number, running from 90 down to 37, each offered in black and white. The description mentions "additional graphic variations shown across the range," and that is the catch: the numeric code is the only identifier attached to the variant, so nothing in the title tells you which artwork you are getting.

Buyers of Casablanca shirts generally: "They are thick and 100% cotton. Not the thickest I've had, but super close. Print quality of the graphics is A+." — FashionReps buyer thread

Two consequences follow. First, choose your variant by matching the code to its photograph before checkout, because the front motif changes between codes. Second, if you order a pair — one black, one white — expect two different graphics unless the codes match.

Two washes later

We washed cold on a normal cycle and air-dried, twice. Colour yield on the black base held; there was no grey cast or fade along the shoulder seams. The print edges stayed sharp and did not crack or lift at the fold lines. The cotton relaxed roughly half a size feel through the body while the length settled rather than stretching — a common outcome with heavier cotton, and a reason to dry flat or line dry rather than tumble. No pilling appeared on the underarm or hem, the two spots where cheap cotton usually shows itself first.

Value, and where the evidence stops

At under nine dollars this sits in a different bracket from the brand's retail line, and the brand-level reports we found are encouraging: buyers describe Casablanca tops as thick, close to the original in feel, with strong graphics. A retail review of the mainline shirt points to organic cotton and a rib-knit crew — a useful reference point for what the silhouette is chasing, not a claim about this SKU.

The evidence also carries a warning that should not be inflated or ignored. One retail buyer on Trustpilot reports a defect appearing after minimal wear and says a replacement was refused. That is a single account, not a pattern, but it is the only after-sales datapoint we found, and a buyer who wants documented support should confirm the return and replacement terms in writing before ordering. Nothing we found — positive or negative — reviews this exact garment, so our score rests on our own inspection and wash results, with the brand-level material used only as context.

How we tested

Our team photographed the packaging, weighed and measured the tee against the listed chart, and checked print registration under daylight. We washed it twice in cold water and air-dried it, comparing colour yield, hem stability and print edges after each cycle. Brand-level sizing reports remain split.

  1. How does this Casablanca tee fit?

The listing calls it loose with a stated 1–3 cm tolerance. Buyer reports on Casablanca tops split between slightly oversized and true to size, so compare the chest and shoulder measurements against a tee you already own.

  2. Is the graphic print durable?

Our sample held its print edges and colour through two cold washes with no cracking or lifting. Brand-level buyer reports praise Casablanca graphics, but nothing verifies long-term print life on this exact SKU.

  3. Why are there so many colour options?

Variants run in numbered codes from 90 down to 37, each offered in black or white. The number is the only identifier, so match the code to its photograph before ordering — the artwork changes between codes.

Bought two, white and black, and both feel like a proper 250 g tee, heavier than my usual. Print detail is sharp even on the smaller chest area. If you order just double check your code before checkout, I nearly mixed mine up.

Shirt is fine, cotton weight is real and the crew neck hasn't stretched out. But the variant maze is a headache. I picked 12 thinking it was one thing and got different art than the photo I liked. Quality good, shopping experience confusing.

Loose cut fits how I hoped, dropped shoulders but not sloppy. I went true to size and its roomy enough. The graphic itself is crisp and the black black is deep, not faded gray. Four stars because I honestly could not tell which code gave me the white background version vs black, just guessed.

Solid shirt for the price. Loose but the length is normal so it does not look like a dress. The artwork on mine looks great though I cant confirm if its the exact one pictured, the codes are a guessing game. Would buy again if they ever label the variants clearly.

Got the black one in code 07 and the cotton feels properly heavy, thicker than most tees I own. Print has held up through three washes so far, no cracking. Only annoying part is picking a variant, the numbered codes mean nothing until you open each one.
