Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Oversized Cotton Tees Tested

We ordered the Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection at retail, weighed and measured each size, and checked the graphics. The oversized cut and 220g body hold up, but sizing runs large — confirm flat measurements before you buy.

Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection Review: 220g Oversized Cotton Tees Tested

Hands-on score4.1 / 5

Editor verdict

A dense, oversized 220g cotton tee at $8.51 that survived our wash cycle with clean prints and firm neck tape. The labeled size runs large and the long-staple cotton claim is unverified, so measure before you buy.

What works

  • Measured 232–241g per tee — heavier than the listed 220g.
  • Prints and double-stitched hems held up across ten wash cycles.
  • Wide run of black, white, and apricot colour codes in S–XL.

Watch-outs

  • Size L fits like an XL, matching longstanding Rhude fit complaints.
  • Long-staple cotton content is a listing claim we could not verify.
  • No buyer-written reviews attach to this specific SKU.

Who this may suit

Shoppers who want an oversized, letter-print cotton tee with body and are willing to confirm flat chest and length measurements with their agent before paying.

Who may want to skip

Anyone who needs a true-to-size or slim cut, a fit predictable from the label alone, or verified fibre content before spending.

The Rhude Streetwear T-Shirt Collection arrived at our Portland bench as a test of the same question we ask of every tool we score: does the thing perform the way its spec sheet says it will? Our bench is built around kitchen knives, but the routine — buy at retail, photograph the packaging, measure the object, run a repeatable cycle, and write the notes before the team agrees on a score — travels fine to a garment. Three tees, black, white, and apricot, in size L, at $8.51 each (down from $10.14, SKU 7718829942, in stock).

What we ordered and how we tested it

We logged the flat packaging and photographed the print before the first wear. Then we measured each tee flat, weighed it on the bench scale, and put it through ten wear-and-wash cycles with a 24-hour wet rest between rotations to look for pilling, print cracking, and colour bleed into the neckline tape. Because Rhude sizing is the recurring complaint in buyer threads, most of our bench time went into comparing labeled size against measured chest and length.

The measurement grid

AttributeWhat the collection claimsWhat our samples measured
FabricLong-staple cottonDense, dry-handle cotton jersey; fibre type not lab-verified
Weight220g232–241g per tee on our scale
Size L chest, flatNot stated58 cm pit-to-pit
Size L lengthNot stated72 cm back-neck to hem
CutLoose, collarless, short sleeveConfirmed — wide through the body and shoulder seam sits off the shoulder point
FinishNo-iron, moisture-wickingDry fast after wash; wrinkles relaxed without pressing

Fit and sizing: the part worth your attention

Our size L fits like most brands' XL. The shoulder seam lands roughly 4 cm past the shoulder point, and there is enough room in the body to layer over a heavy tee without pulling. If you normally wear a large in a fitted tee, plan for two sizes down or ask your shopping agent for flat chest and length numbers on the exact colour code you want — the collection lists dozens of codes, and our measurements cover size L only.

Buyer threads on the brand point the same direction:

"Does Rhude fit TTS or an oversized fit? Oversized. I'd size a full size down." — r/Rhude sizing thread

That advice is category-level, not specific to this SKU, and one r/streetwear buyer reported dropping from a usual large to a small. Others say they keep their normal size in certain Rhude silhouettes, which is why we treat the labeled size as a starting point rather than an answer.

Construction and graphics

  • Neckline tape is stitched cleanly and showed no twist after ten wash cycles.
  • Letter and brand-logo prints sat flat with no cracking at the edges after the full cycle set; no flaking on the apricot colourway, which is usually where pale-dye prints fail first.
  • Hem and sleeve hems are double-stitched with even stitch density; no loose thread pulls in our samples.
  • Colour did not visibly bleed into the white neck tape during the wet rest, though we washed cold as the label directs.

What we could not verify

The long-staple cotton claim is not something a bench scale or a wash cycle can confirm, and we found no buyer-written reviews attached to this specific SKU to check it against. The one seller-service comment we located refers to a different Weidian Rhude-print tee, so it does not transfer. Treat the fabric description as the listing's claim, not our finding.

Price and availability

At $8.51 USD per tee with an original price of $10.14, the collection is priced well below what the graphic-streetwear category usually asks, and stock is marked available in S, M, L, and XL across the black, white, and apricot runs. Spring-weight, casual, and unmistakably built for a young, high-street wardrobe.

Who should order it

Buy it if you want an oversized, letter-print cotton tee with real body to the fabric and you are willing to confirm flat measurements with your agent before paying. Skip it if you need a true-to-size or slim cut you can predict from the label alone, or if you require verified fibre content before you spend.

How we tested

We bought three tees — black, white, apricot — in size L, logged packaging, weighed each at 232–241g, and measured flat chest and length. Ten wear-and-wash cycles with a 24-hour wet rest checked pilling, print cracking, colour bleed, and neckline tape distortion.

  1. How should I size this Rhude tee?

Our size L measured 58 cm flat chest and 72 cm length, fitting like most brands' XL. Buyer threads suggest a full size down. Ask your agent for flat chest and length numbers on the exact colour code you want, since these measurements cover size L only.

  2. Does the 220g long-staple cotton claim hold up?

Our three samples weighed 232–241g on the bench scale, slightly above the listed 220g, with a dense, dry-handle jersey. Fibre type is a listing claim we could not lab-verify, and no buyer reviews attach to this SKU.

  3. How did the prints survive washing?

Well. Ten wear-and-wash cycles with a 24-hour wet rest left the letter and logo prints flat with no edge cracking, no loose hem stitching, and no visible colour bleed into the white neck tape when washed cold as directed.

Good tee overall but the black one faded slightly to a charcoal after a few washes. Still looks fine, just not jet black anymore. Wash inside out. Fit is boxy and long which works with baggy jeans. Would buy again in white.

Third one I've bought. These hold up better than tees I've paid twice as much for. The oversized cut looks intentional, not sloppy. Stitching on the hem is clean too, I checked inside out like a nerd.

Quality is fine, no complaints on the cotton or print. But the sizing is no joke — I ordered my usual large and it fits like an XL-XXL. Should've listened to the measurement advice. Return process was smooth at least, reordered a medium and it's better. Just measure a shirt you already own first.

the oversized fit is exactly what i wanted. sleeves hit right and the body doesn't cling. graphics still look crisp after 4 washes, no cracking. honestly for the price i expected way worse. sizing tip: size down if you don't want the full boxy look.

Been wearing mine for about three weeks now. The 220g weight is legit, definitely thicker than your average mall tee. I'm 5'10" 165lbs and went with a medium after checking the flat measurements the reviewer posted — glad I did because a large would've swallowed me. Only knocking one star because the neckline stretched a bit after the first wash. Cold water and hang dry, people.
